Mandy Cheskis
Mandy Cheskis, M.S., CCC/SLP, is passionate about providing quality healthcare to people living with dementia. She has over 30 years of professional experience working as a speech language pathologist with elders living in their homes, in skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living and personal care settings. She earned the AMI Practitioner Certificate in Montessori for Dementia and Ageing and is recognised as a Master Clinician in Cognitive Communication Deficits. She also serves as an educator and mentor in the field as a consultant and Project Manager for Brush Development. As a specialist in language and communication and swallowing disorders, Mandy is very sensitive to the needs of those living with dementia and is committed to preserving their abilities and maintaining pathways for meaningful connections. Through her work with Montessori for Dementia and Ageing, her goal is to allow them to maintain their personhood, noting that what at first seems impossible can become possible again.
